Waterfront Marina

Waterfront Marina is a large yacht hospitality facility suitable for vessels over 30m LOA, with 26 berths from 20 to 110 metres in length, located in the heart of Genoa.

Hardstanding, sheds & keel pit

65,000m² of docking and yard area. 12 covered refit and repair areas designed for large yachts from 50m to 75m in length, equipped with forced heating and ventilation systems, overspray recovery, emission treatment systems and all necessary utilities, including TV antennae and black water. A keel pit – l 10m w 2 m h 1.75m – is available for works on swinging keels on sailing and racing yachts. Possibility of running service power supply lines up to 170kW (400/3 plus neutral).

Hauling

With our 835T and 320T state-of-the-art travel lift system, our docking team can haul out, transport indoors and hull block a 60m LOA yacht in just one working day following its arrival in the shipyard. Our new, technically advanced 4,000t shiplift and related hardstanding area with six slots >95m opened in October 2019, catering to the larger yachts in the global fleet. We use our 470T trailer for further manoeuvres and have mobile cranes up to 200T available, plus a 5T bridge crane in one shed and 3T bridge crane in the engineering workshop. The maximum beam of our hauling tank is 12.6m.

Dry-dock solutions

102m covered graving dock inside the shipyard equipped with heating, ventilation and emission treatment systems for painting works. Built in 2014, it can accommodate 102m LOA, 18 beam, 31m airdraft and 7.4m draught.

Use of dry-dock #2 in Ente Bacini in Genoa port. Dry-dock #2 is used as two separate dry-docks, accommodating two large yachts of up to 90m LOA each and is divided in two sections, one of which is covered with a brand new 90m telescopic retractable paint shed, owned by Amico & Co. It can accommodate in total 200m LOA, 21 beam, 29.5m airdraft and 7.5m draught.

Dry-dock #1 upon request which can accommodate in total 170m LOA, 24.8m beam and 8.4m draught.

Technical marina

20,000m² in water / 24 refit berths, max 110m LOA / 9 alongside berths / Shore power up to 630A. (400/3 plus neutral). The recent completion of a new external 80m dock has increased capacity in our fully equipped technical marina, which borders the shipyard providing a protected calm water area. Recent dredging guarantees more than 9m draft.

In-house workshops

Amico & Co can cater for up to thirty-five different yacht projects at any one time, thanks to the support of over 4,500m² of specialised on site workshops which allow works schedule maximisation for each phase of the project, with joiners and shipwrights alone occupying 1,600m². Having these capabilities in-house signifies improving time and cost optimization during a refit schedule. Below illustrate some of the skills available;

Engineering, technical systems, shaft alignment and engine and generator servicing and reconditioning.

Paint work from primer application to topcoat refinishing.

Metal carpentry, extension block and deck construction, piping works with all materials.

Wood carpentry, teak deck construction.

Yacht interior construction and refurbishment.

Electrical workshop.

Crew Facilities

Newly refurbished captain and manager offices are available for rental, including internet services, rest rooms and a canteen area plus a small meeting room.

Crew facilities include a crew area up on the town-facing section of the office building, with free Wi-Fi, satellite TV, a small kitchen with a refrigerator, freezer and a microwave and vending machines and a large bathroom. Open 24/7, entry to the area is accessed by using a company provided crew badge. During the Covid emergency these facilities may not be available.

The yard the services of the concierge, which can range from arranging accommodation, travel arrangements, catering and personal health and beauty appointments and can arrange all sorts of vehicle rental, from minivans and cars to bikes and e-solutions. We also have a range of vegan cake makers and have even organised magic courses – just try us!
