Yacht refit - Overview of Amico & Co and Waterfront Marina in Genoa - Amico & Co

JUNIOR PROJECT MANAGER (1 position open)

OBJECTIVE AND OVERVIEW

Reporting to the Director of Project Management, the Junior Project Manager will be assigned to a Senior Project Manager and his/her tasks will mainly be to assist and help him to handle various maintenance/refit & repair projects, each having different duration and complexity.

The Senior Project Manager is the reference person for different refit/repair/maintenance projects, from the moment that a yacht arrives in the shipyard right up to the day of departure.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • The Junior Project Manager is responsible for accomplishing specific tasks assigned by the Senior Project Manager;
  • The Junior Project Manager, upon request of the Senior Project Manager, directly deals with clients (yacht managers, Captains, Owners and crew members), with the supervisors of the in-house departments (joinery & interiors, engineering, metal, painting and surface preparation workshops) as well as with subcontractors. His/her task is to support the coordination of all the works to be performed on board in order to respect the delivery time and all safety regulations;
  • The Junior Project Manager supports the Senior Project Manager and the Project Assistant assigned to the Project, also working on the contractual and administrative side of the project: preparation and signature of the contract, SAL, work orders, invoices and everything necessary to accomplish the project.

DESIRED PROFILE

  • Masters Degree in Naval Architecture & Marine Engineering (or equivalent);
  • An excellent command of spoken and written Italian and fluent level of spoken and written English.

PROJECT MANAGER (2 positions open)

OBJECTIVE AND OVERVIEW

Reporting to the Director of Project Management, the Project Manager will handle various maintenance/refit & repair projects, each having different duration and complexity.

RESPONSIBILITIES

The Project Manager is the person responsible and the point of reference for every aspect that refers to a specific project, from the moment that the yacht arrives in the shipyard right up to the day of departure.

The Project Manager directly deals with clients (yacht managers, Captains, Owners and crew), with the supervisors of the in-house departments (joinery & interiors, engineering, metal, painting and surface preparation workshops) as well as with subcontractors. His/her task is to coordinate all the works to be performed on board, respecting delivery time and all safety regulations.

The Project Manager is responsible, supported by a specific Project Assistant, also for all of the contractual and administrative side of the project: preparation and signature of the contract, SAL, work orders, invoices and everything necessary to accomplish the project.

DESIRED PROFILE

  • Masters Degree in Naval Architecture & Marine Engineering (or equivalent)
  • A minimum of one year of relevant professional experience in the naval field, preferably yachting
  • An excellent command of spoken and written Italian and fluent level of spoken and written English.

ENGINEERING PROJECT MANAGER (1 position open)

OBJECTIVE AND OVERVIEW

Reporting to the Director of Engineering Department, the Engineering Project Manager will handle various projects with differing duration and complexity.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• The Engineering Project Manager is the person responsible and the point of reference for every engineering aspect of a works project, from the moment that the yacht arrives in the shipyard right up to the day of departure.
• The Engineering Project Manager deals directly with clients (yacht managers, Captains or Chief Engineers), as well as with subcontractors and with the Project Manager in charge of the project. His/her task is to coordinate all the engineering works to be performed on board respecting delivery time and all safety regulations.

DESIRED PROFILE

  • Masters Degree in Naval Architecture & Marine Engineering or High School Nautical Diploma with a specialization in Engineering
  • Preferential candidates will have professional experience either on board or in a shipyard in naval mechanical field
  • An excellent command of spoken and written Italian and fluent level of spoken and written English.
