Our engineering department operates from a new 900m² dedicated and fully equipped workshop, providing engineering services for new design, engineering drawings and refit modifications.

Main engines and generators
All standard services plus advanced overhauling according to manufacturers’ specifications, repowering and generator replacement.

Rudders, stabilizer and other ship systems
Shaft lines, ship systems, standard and specific overhauling and assistance for survey inspections.
Deck equipment, overhauling and piping. New stabiliser installations, including electrical and hydraulic systems.

Vibration measurements and analysis
Vibration analysis is performed by a CEMB N500 portable instrument, a multi-functional two-channel analyzer, designed for the measurement of vibrations, FFT vibration analysis, monitoring of total vibration against time, or variation in machine speed.

On-site balancing
On-site balancing can also be performed using the CEMB N500 portable instrument.

Load bank
Two 550kw load banks are available in the shipyard – one of which is resistive, the other resistive and inductive – also for external service, to provide electrical loads for testing power sources such as generators.

Mechanical report
A comprehensive record covering all jobs performed by the Amico & Co engineering team is supplied when the yacht is ready to leave the shipyard.
